Between the storms: Sugar Maple

A theme has emerged for my contribution to “I Call This Home.” When I was living in Phoenix, AZ for a couple of years back in the late 70s, a bunch of us got in the van and drove back to Lakewood. We traded off drivers, slept in the back, and stopped only for gasoline. When we reached the Ohio River Valley, we knew we were nearly home.

Two things: (1) the landscape was GREEN, and (2) there was WATER!

And so, I associate “home” with lush green places… and I love creek-walking!
